Tina Belanger is a Registered Nurse, and Executive Director of Columbus House in Pembroke, Ontario.

Tina sits on the ‘Ontario Association of Child, Youth, and Young Parent Centres’. She is also a member of Renfrew County’s ‘Best Start’ Advisory group and “The Healthy Communities Partnership’.

Tina is a trained facilitator in the Parenting Partnership Program. She contributed to the adaptation of Welcome to Parenting for Young Parents.

Tina began her nursing career at CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) and continued working in the Neonatal field for 8 years. She has a specialty certificate in ‘High Risk Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care’. Tina has been with Columbus House for 21 years, beginning as a volunteer labor coach for young parents. Under Tina’s direction as Executive Director, Columbus House expanded their residential program to include 2 ‘Young Parent Support Programs’ providing high school education, life and parenting skills as well as 2 licensed childcare programs on-site. These day programs are offered in Pembroke and Renfrew.

Tina also brings her expertise as a parent of 4 children, including one set of twins and as a grandmother to 2 small boys.
